Freight arrangement

Local pickup, seller-arranged freight, or platform-coordinated freight — chosen per item based on its size and freight class.

Delivery time

Varies by freight class, mode and distance. Local pickup can be same-day; heavy or oversize freight takes longer — confirm the estimate with the seller before you buy.

Tracking

The seller adds a courier name and tracking number once an item ships. Freight (non-parcel) moves may not have live carrier tracking — the seller keeps you updated directly.

Coverage

Pan-India. Some remote pincodes, or heavy/oversize items, may need a custom freight quote or a pickup-only arrangement.

How delivery works

Wedding & event equipment doesn’t move like small parcels. Every order uses one of three freight modes, set per listing: local pickup (you collect the item yourself), seller-arranged freight (the seller books a courier or transporter and shares tracking), or platform-coordinated freight for larger part-truck-load moves. The listing tells you which applies before you buy.

Shipping costs

Freight cost is calculated per order and shown at checkout before you pay — it is not bundled into the item price. Heavy, oversize or pickup-only items may require a custom freight quote from the seller rather than an instant checkout price.

Order tracking

Once an item ships, the seller adds a courier name and tracking number to the order, and it appears in your account & email. This is entered by the seller rather than pulled live from a carrier system, so for freight (non-parcel) moves, treat it as the seller’s best available tracking reference and follow up with them directly for real-time freight updates.

Couriers & freight partners

Sellers commonly ship via couriers such as Delhivery, BlueDart, DTDC and others, or arrange freight/transport directly for heavy and oversize equipment. VivahMandi does not currently run a live carrier-rate or tracking API integration — the seller chooses the courier or transporter and enters the tracking details manually.

Delivery issues

Delay, damage, or loss? Contact support within 48h of the expected delivery date. We work with the seller (and their courier/transporter, where applicable) to resolve it, and your order stays escrow-protected during the inspection window — see our Refund Policy.
